Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Usono LLC (“Usono,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, dashboard, and screen player (the “Service”). It should be read with our Terms of Service. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads.

Information we collect

Information you give us:

• Account details: your name, email address, password (stored securely by our authentication provider), and company name.
• Team details: names and email addresses of people you invite to your team.
• Your content: images, videos, file names, playlists, and screen names you create.
• Billing details: when you subscribe, Stripe collects your payment card and billing address. We receive limited details such as your billing address, subscription status, and the number of screens, but never your full card number.
• Messages: anything you send us, such as support emails.

Information collected automatically:

• Usage and performance data: pages visited, device and browser type, and page performance, collected through Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which do not use cookies.
• Screen data: a random identifier stored in the screen’s browser, pairing status, and whether the screen is currently online.
• Technical logs: IP addresses and request information recorded by our hosting and infrastructure providers for security and reliability.

How we use information

• To provide the Service: storing your media, building playlists, and displaying content on your screens.
• To create and secure accounts, manage teams, and process subscriptions.
• To send service emails such as account confirmations, password resets, and team invitations. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
• To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, fix problems, and improve performance.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in to the dashboard. Screens store a random identifier in browser storage so they stay connected to your account. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Service providers we share information with

We share information only with providers that help us run the Service, for the purposes described here:

• Supabase: database, authentication, and real-time screen updates.
• Cloudflare R2: storage for your images and videos.
• Stripe: payments and subscription billing.
• Resend: sending account and team invitation emails.
• Vercel: hosting, analytics, and performance monitoring.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can delete your account from your profile settings. When you do, we delete your account information, and if you are the last member of your company, your company’s playlists, screens, and uploaded media. Limited records may remain for a short period in provider logs and backups, or longer where we must keep them for legal, tax, or billing purposes.

Security

We use access controls that limit each company’s data to its own team members, encrypted connections, and trusted providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of a breach affecting your data where the law requires.

Your rights and choices

You can view and update your name and company details in settings, and delete your account at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email support@usono.co. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We honor browser “Do Not Track” signals by not engaging in cross-site tracking.

Customer content and screen viewers

Content you upload may include images of people or other personal information. You are responsible for having permission to use and display it. We process Your Content only to provide the Service to you.

Children

The Service is designed for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Where we process data

Usono is based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. By using the Service, you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will notify account admins by email or in the dashboard, and update the date at the top of this page.
